Fees and funding

Sessions:

Full day - 8am-6pm

Half day - morning 8am-1pm

Half day - afternoon 1pm -6pm

15 hours funded session – 8am – 10.20am

30 hours funded session – 8.25am – 1pm or 1.25pm – 6pm

You are free to drop off and collect your child any time within their booked session, but you will still be charged for the full session. Children must not be dropped off before their session time.

Information:

Due to limited places, and as a full daycare provider, full day children will take first priority for spaces, with all other sessions being offered subject to availability. 

We accept 15 hours funding as part of the free-for-two scheme and the universal offering to three-and-four-year-olds. We also accept the working entitlements that currently provide 15 hours free to children aged 9 months+, and 30 hours free to those aged 3+. 

From September 2025, we will accept the 30-hour working entitlement offer to children aged 9 months+.

Funding entitlements are stretched over 50 weeks a year, allowing families to access either 11.4h (11h and 24 minutes) per week if in receipt of a 15-hour entitlement, or 22.8h (22h and 48 minutes) per week if in receipt of a 30-hour entitlement.  Should your child attend our nursery everyday, they will be able to access their full entitlement of either 570 or 1140 hours per year. The nursery is closed on bank holidays and for 2 weeks over the Christmas period, you will not be charged for these days. Please see our calendar attached for more information.

A deposit of £100 is required upon registration.  This is refundable on your child’s last invoice when you terminate the contract, if fees are up to date and all terms and conditions have been met.  Please note, there is no deposit required for fully funded places, this is only applicable for paid nursery places.

A £50 non-refundable admin fee is also required. Please note, there is no admin fee required for fully funded places, this is only applicable for paid nursery places

Invoices will be sent out by the 25th of each month, for the month ahead, with payment due by the 1st of each month.

If your child attends a session that is a combination of both chargeable and funded hours, your invoice will be itemised to show the deduction of funded hours that we have applied and, subsequently, the excess of hours still required for payment.

A late collection fee of £5 per 15 minutes will be charged if a child is not collected on time after their booked session ends.

To withdraw your child from the nursery, we require one month's written notice. Please note this does not apply to fully funded places.

A late payment fee of £25 may be charged if payments are not made on time.

Absence through illness and holidays will still be charged.

Requests to change a child’s hours from their existing pattern are not always possible and will be subject to place availability and our waiting list.

We will accept payments through the Tax Free Childcare scheme, allowing you to benefit from a 20% Government contribution towards your invoice.

Fees will be reviewed in January each year.

Fees:

Option 1: Using your funded hours only

We offer the universal 15 hours for all 3-and 4-year-olds and the 30 hours funding for eligible families. 

We also offer the 15 hours two-year-old funding and 9 months+ funding for those eligible and will be offering the 30 hours funding for eligible families from September.

As an all-year-round childcare provider, we stretch the early years Funding entitlement across 50 weeks.  This means funded hours will be used throughout all the weeks we are open including school holidays. Please see our calendar for the weeks when we are closed.

1a) Children in receipt of 15 hours free childcare are able to access a maximum of 2 hours and 17 minutes per day in the pattern of 8am-10.20am for 50 weeks a year (there will be no charge for the extra 3 minutes per day)

Please ensure your child has had breakfast before attending their session.  If you would like us to provide breakfast, there will be a charge of £1 per session.

1b) Children in receipt of 30 hours free childcare are able to access a maximum of 4 hours and 34 minutes per day in the pattern of 8.25am – 1pm or 1:25pm – 6pm for 50 weeks a year. (There is no charge for the additional 1 minute per day)

If your funded session falls within the time our children have lunch, there is an option to purchase a hot lunch at a cost of £3 per day.  If your funded session falls within the time we have tea, there is an option to purchase a hot tea at a cost of £2 per day. If you would rather, you are welcome to provide your child with a packed meal, these must be in line with our packed lunch policy.

Please ensure your child has had lunch before attending if doing the afternoon session.

Option 2: Funded Hours Used Within a Longer Nursery Session (ie a combination of funding + paid hours)

2a) If you are in receipt of 15 hours funding and attending either a full or half day (morning or afternoon) session, we will apply a maximum of 2 hours and 17 minutes of free funding each day, leaving either 2 hours and 43 minutes or 7 hours and 43 minutes to be paid at our hourly rate*.

2b) If you are in receipt of 30 hours funding and attending a full day, we will apply a maximum of 4 hours and 34 minutes of free funding each day, leaving 5 hours and 26 minutes to be paid at our hourly rate*.

*Under 2’s hourly rate for additional hours: £8.65

*Over 2’s hourly rate for additional hours: £8.25

Included in your fees for option 2:

Nappies and wipes (if applicable)

Breakfast – Cereal or toast and milk (Morning and Full day sessions)

Lunch – Provided by Zebedees (Morning and Full day sessions)

Tea – Provided by Zebedees (Afternoon and Full day sessions)

A range of healthy snacks and drinks

Option 3: No funded hours claimed, (i.e. all sessions paid in full)

All sessions will be charged at our sessional rate, as set out below.

Under 2’s:

Full day - £86.50

Half day - £48.50

Over 2’s:

Full day - £82.50

Half day - £45.50

Breakfast – Cereal or toast and milk (Morning and Full day sessions)

Lunch – Provided by Zebedees (Morning and Full day sessions)
